Lith Harbor is the first town you land at Victoria Island from the ship. There are several other towns in Victoria Island which awaits your discovery; Henesys, the village of bowmen located on the prairie down south; Ellinia, the town of magicians located in the bright, deep forests of the east; Perion, the town of warriors, located at the rugged highlands up north; and Kerning City, the town of thieves located at the modern city of the west. |

Victoria Island where all these diverse and unique towns and fields coexist is the main island where your character can choose his path and continue with his journey.
At the center of Victoria Island is a humongous, mystical tree called, The World Tree.
It generates life and provides shelter to monsters on this island. The World Tree consists of many levels of dungeons where dangerous, terrifying monsters reside.
Characters of MapleStory will now take on a dangerous journey to hunt down monsters and protecting yourself in the process. You'll be given 4 paths to choose from, 4 that will define your life in MapleStory: Warrior, Bowman, Thief,, and Magician. Through leveling up and meeting some requirements, you'll be able to make job advancements and nurture your character in your own, unique way.
In addition, you may chat and interact with other characters or friends using face expression and emotion. Dress up your character with beautiful clothes, gorgeous accessories and powerful weapons. Hunt for items to complete a quest or make a weapon, clothes or accessories. Trade with other characters in gaining items you need. Team up with other characters to hunt for monsters and play mini-games during your journey. There are more in Victoria Island for your exploration.
