What is Cash Shop? |
|
Cash Shop is MapleStory's special feature where players can support the Free-to-Play game. Players can purchase items that beautify their avatars enriching their enjoyment with these special items that are otherwise unavailable. There are various categories of items available in the Cash Shop ranging from adventuring equipment to consumables.

How to use Cash Shop? |
|
Players may access Cash Shop after logging into the game. Click on the red button labeled "Cash Shop" on the bottom right of the screen to access.

The item has a X days expiry period, what does it means? |
|
For regular equipment and consumable cash items, the item will disappear after the X days of expiry period stated.
For coupons (haircut, hair color and plastic surgery), the coupon will disappear after the X days of expiry period stated if it is not used. Once used, the change effect will be permanent.
For pets, the pet will not disappear, but it will turn into a doll (which means, not able to activate it) after X days expiry period stated. However, you may purchase the 'Water of Life' in the Cash Shop and go the Marr the Fairy in Ellinia to revive your pet, it will last you for another X days before it turn into a doll again.
Note that after item is purchase, the expiry date will be stated. The format is MM/DD/YYYY.

Why does my Cash Balance show zero, I should have a balance of xxx amount after I did a purchase! |
|
This problem might due to the below:
a. Due to high traffic of Cash Shop, you may experience some lag which causes the cash balance to be zero. Try accessing the Cash Shop a few times, preferably in different channels, you should be able to view your cash balance.
b. You may have topped up with another passport account which does not contain the character(s) you used to check your Cash Balance.
This happened when players assigned same name for login IDs and game character which often caused confusion. Just remember that you are charging to your Maple account and not to your Maple character.
Upon encountering such problem, you might want to recall if you have ever created more than 1 passport account. If you did, check out your account information to see if your character belongs to the passport account you have used to top up your A-Cash.
You may check out your account information by logging into AsiaSoft Passport, select Accounts and click on 'View' (you will need your Security PIN to do so).

I want to buy something in Cash Shop for my friend, how do I do so? |

Cash Items are not trade-able like other in-game items for security reason. To purchase an item for your friend, or other character in another account of yours, use the 'Gift' function.
You will first need to enter your 13-digit AsiaSoft Passport ID, which looks like 'T05123456789A' (click to see how you retrieve the ID). Upon successful verification, enter the recipient's character name and a personal message and confirm the sending. Check out here for more detailed instructions on Gift function. Make sure that the intended recipient's character is in the same World as your character. |

Make sure you have entered correctly the intended recipient's character name. Make sure that the intended recipient's character is in the same World as your character. Note that characters in Aquila cannot send gift to characters in Bootes or Cassiopeia, and vice versa.
Also, sometimes due to high traffic of Cash Shop, you may experience some lag that causes the item delivery to be delayed. In this case, A-Cash is deducted but item does not show up. Please wait for 24 hours. If the item still does not show up, report to acash@asiasoft.net, stating sender's character name, recipient character name, date and time of gift and item gifted. Describe your situation in as much detail as possible.

This problem might due to the below:
a. Sender entered wrongly the character name of yours.
b. Sender used a character from different World to send the gift.
c. Item delivery delayed due to lag issue, please wait for 24 hours. If the item still does not show up, report to acash@asiasoft.net, stating sender's character name, recipient character name, date and time of gift and item gifted. Describe your situation in as much detail as possible.
d. If you have agreed to a trade of Cash Item for mesos/in-game items, you are probably been scammed. The scammer, if caught, will be banned and handled according to the User Abuse Policy. You will not be able to get back your mesos/in-game item in this case as this kind of trade is not allowed according to the User Abuse Policy.

a. You have not successfully purchased the item. The purchase is not successful if you did not see a purchase success message popping up after you confirm your purchase. In this case, no A-Cash will be deducted. You may try to access the Cash Shop a few times.
b. Due to high traffic of Cash Shop, you may experience some lag which causes the item delivery to be delayed. In this case, A-Cash is deducted but item does not show up. Please wait for 24 hours. If the item still does not show up, report to acash@asiasoft.net , stating your character name, date and time of purchase and item purchased. Describe your situation in as much detail as possible. |

I have accidentally bought an item, can I refund or exchange or transfer it to my friend's account? |
|
No. Item bought cannot be refunded or exchanged or even transfer to another Maple account. You may use it for another character within the same Maple account in the same World.
Note that if the item is intended to be given to a friend, you should use the 'Gift' function and not the 'Buy' function as you can't drop or trade cash items. Player should also note of possible lag issue and be patient for the item to be delivered to avoid unintentional repeat purchase. |

Yes, if the characters is within the same Maple account and same World. Characters in different World will not be able to share the item as they are using different sets of servers.
To share items among characters within same Maple account and same World:
a. Unequipped the item into your inventory.
b. Access the Cash Shop. Double-click on the item, it will disappear from your inventory and appear in the Cash Wardrobe.
c. Logout and login with the other character. Access the Cash Shop and double-click on the item in your Cash Wardrobe to put it inside your inventory. |

I have purchased a hair coupon / plastic surgery coupon, but it can't be used, why? |
|
This problem might due to the below:
a. You have not put the coupon into your inventory, it is still in the Cash Wardrobe. Access the Cash Shop, double-click the coupon in the Cash Wardrobe and make sure it is transferred into your inventory.
b. You have bought the wrong coupon for the intended purpose. You wanted to change a hairstyle, but you have bought a hair color coupon. It will not be usable if you try to change your hairstyle with a hair color coupon.
c. You have bought the wrong coupon for the intended shop. You wanted to change your hairstyle/hair color in Kerning City , but you have bought a Henesys Hair/Hair color coupon and tried to use it in Kerning City . It will not be usable in this case. |

My character is a Mage, I have purchased a Glowing Dagger from the Cash Shop, it says for all class, but my Mage can't equip it, why? |

In the Cash Shop, the Cash Weapons can be equipped by all classes. However, the character needs to hold a 'matching' weapon to equip, which is stated in the mouse-over description.
So, how can a Mage carry a dagger? In MapleStory, there is a category of weapons that are common to all class. For example, the Korean Fan, a Mage could carry a Korean Fan, in this case, the Glowing Dagger can than be equip-able. Note that there are no common-class bow, crossbow and claw available in game to date.
And, to mention, if the character is currently holding a weapon that is not equip-able with the Cash Weapon, a warning message will appear, you will need to click on the confirm button in order to acknowledge your purchase after the warning. Hence, please take notes of warning messages given by Cash Shop before you purchase the item.

Do I have to wear overall armor if I want to wear an overall cash item? |
|
No, you don't have to do so. Cash Shop clothing are not restricted by in-game clothing unlike the weapon. You may be wearing a top and bottom in-game, but you would still be able to wear a Cash Overall over it. |
