Developer Notes

The first journey of Nexus of Exploring World begins with the opening of the Archipelago of Wings, a mysterious island inspired by Langkawi!

Characters Level 260 and above can visit the Archipelago of Wings and join Leena in uncovering the secrets behind the island's crisis and the mysterious events unfolding across this tropical paradise.

As you progress through the story, you will encounter the powerful boss monster Tama and experience a special boss battle where your character's combat capabilities will be adjusted.

Defeat the boss to obtain Relic Materials, which can be used to develop the Anomaly Investigation Headquarters, and earn special rewards such as Animal Masks and an Illusion Ring!


Level Requirement: 260+
Quest Prerequisite: Accepting the quest Anomaly Investigation Headquarters and A Visit to a Mysterious Resort.

Synopsis

    Embark on a mysterious journey through the Archipelago of Wings, where you encounter Leena, a girl with a mysterious connection to the islands. Together, uncover the secrets surrounding the island, strange shadow monsters, and a spreading curse.

    As your journey takes you across the islands, mysterious visions and forgotten memories begin to reveal a story buried deep within the archipelago's past.

Basic Information
  • Follow Leena in her adventures to uncover the history of the island!
  • As you progress through the story quests, more regions will become available for exploration.
  • The Archipelago of Wings is divided into 3 subregions:
      •   ➢ Harmony Falls
        ➢ Lake of Life
        ➢ Forest of Sorrows
  • Upon completing the Archipelago of Wings story quests:
    • You will obtain a Guardian of the Archipelago of Wings medal.

    • You can now challenge the weekly Artifact Boss: Tama.
    • You can now start your Archipelago of Wings: Area Investigation Mission.

Special Information
  • After you have completed your Archipelago of Wings story quest, you can still access the area via the portal in the centre of the Anomaly Investigation Headquarters.

  • If you wish to return to the Anomaly Investigation Headquarters or revisit Harmony Falls, Lake of Life, and Tombs of Sorrow, you can access these areas via the portal at Pantai Beach Entrance.

Boss Information
  • Available after completing the quest [Archipelago of Wings] Traces of the Curse.
  • Level Requirement : 260+
  • Number of Participants : 1
  • Time Limit : 20 Minutes
  • Entry Limit : Once per Week per MapleID (Resets every Thursday, 0000hrs).
  • Access the Boss Battle by talking to Fenero at the Tombs of Sorrow Entrance

About Tama
  • Tama is a giant lizard consumed by curses and grudges.
  • Tama's attacks focus on learning and repetition rather than quick reflexes. Many of its attacks can be anticipated and avoided by crouching or jumping, while more complex attack combinations can be overcome as you become familiar with its patterns.
  • Look out for special mechanics involving Leena and Helang, which connect the battle to the story of the Archipelago of Wings.

Helang's Judgment

  • Fill the gauge to 100, then press the NPC/Harvest key to activate Helang's Judgment. This interrupts Tama's attack and immediately puts Tama into a stunned state.
  • The gauge fills automatically over time, increasing by 1 every second.
  • Be careful! The gauge decreases by 3 each time you are hit by one of Tama's attacks.
  • Activating Helang's Judgment reduces Tama's HP by a fixed amount.
  • Helang's Judgment weakens the curses and grudges binding Tama. Each time Tama is stunned by Helang's Judgment, the damage Tama takes increases.
  • You are invincible while Tama is stunned.

Rewards
  • Tama does not drop regular boss rewards.
  • Defeating Tama will reward you with a Cursed Crystal.

  • If you are lucky, you may also obtain the Illusion Ring: Tama.

  • Cursed Crystals will be used to restore artifacts through the Artifact Research Device in the Anomaly Investigation Headquarters.
  • Each time Tama is defeated, the Cursed Crystal obtained will increase Artifact Restoration progress by 25%.

  • After completing the artifact restoration, you can continue challenging Tama to earn achievements and cosmetic rewards, including the Illusion Ring.

    • Note
  • Cursed Crystals are automatically applied to the Artifact Restoration progress when obtained. Check the Artifact Research Device in the Anomaly Investigation Headquarters to view the progress.
  • Tama is not included in the Weekly Boss List and does not use one of the 12 Weekly Boss entries.
  • Tama has a separate once-per-week clear limit per MapleID, which resets every Thursday at 0000hrs.
  • If you fail the boss, you can re-enter the boss again.

Combat Power Normalization
  • Combat Power is fixed at 60 million upon entering the boss battle, regardless of your character's stats and equipment.

Battle Tips
  • Avoid Tama's attacks to prevent your Helang's Judgment gauge from decreasing.
  • Regular bind skills do not work on Tama.

Content Overview
  • The Anomaly Investigation Headquarters connects you to regions affected by anomalies, including the Archipelago of Wings.
  • Build and upgrade facilities to unlock new features as you progress.
  • Manage your Investigation Team and Base with the help of Regional Partners from each region.
Note
  • The Anomaly Investigation Headquarters systems and shop are shared across the account and are unavailable in Challengers World.
  • Use the portal at the center of the Anomaly Investigation Headquarters to travel to the Archipelago of Wings.

Anomaly Coin Shop

  • Anomaly Coin Shop opens after you have completed the Archipelago of Wings story quest.
  • Use Archipelago of Wings Coins obtained from Area Investigation Missions to purchase items from the Anomaly Coin Shop.
  • Upgrade facilities to expand the Anomaly Investigation Headquarters and unlock a variety of equipment enhancement items.
  • Equipment enhancement items become available after purchasing the Material Research Lab Blueprint. Purchase limits reset every Thursday.
  • Purchasing Storage Expansion increases the weekly purchase limit.


Area Investigation Mission


Overview
  • Regional Partner NPCs who join the Anomaly Investigation Headquarters can be dispatched on missions to investigate different areas. Complete investigations to earn EXP, obtain rewards, and build trust with your Regional Partner NPCs.
  • The content consists of three sections:
    • Area Investigation Mission : Dispatch NPCs on missions to earn EXP.
    • Exploration Status : Complete investigations to obtain Archipelago of Wings Coins.
    • Regional Partner : Build trust with Regional Partners for a chance to receive additional EXP from missions.
  • Currently, investigations are available for the Archipelago of Wings region.

  • Enter the Anomaly Investigation Headquarters and open the Area Investigation Mission UI.
  • Select an available investigation area and dispatch a Regional Partner.
  • Once the investigation is complete, you can claim the EXP reward.

2. Exploration Status

Exploration Status
  • Once an Area Investigation begins, the remaining investigation time will be displayed in the UI.
  • Once the investigation is complete, open the Area Investigation Mission UI to receive your EXP.
  • Archipelago of Wings Coins accumulate over time while investigating the region.
  • Click the Claim Coins button to receive your accumulated coins.
  • Up to 10,000 coins can be accumulated at a time, with a maximum holding limit of 20,000 coins.

3. Regional Partner

  • Your current Regional Partner and Trust Level are displayed at the bottom right of the Area Investigation Mission UI.
  • Trust increases each time you dispatch the Regional Partner on a mission, up to Level 5.
  • As their Trust Level increases, you will have a chance to receive additional EXP from missions.

Artifact Research


Artifact Research
  • Obtain the Artifact after defeating Tama and completing the Archipelago of Wings story for the first time.
  • Defeat Tama once a week to obtain a Cursed Crystal, which can be used to restore the Artifact and increase its level by 1.
  • Use 4 Cursed Crystals to fully restore the Artifact and reach Level 4.
  • Once the Artifact reaches Level 4, you can spend 1,500 Archipelago of Wings Coins to enhance its effects.
  • Enhanced Artifact effects are doubled for 1 week.

  • Artifacts are relics obtained by investigating anomalies in each region.
  • Artifact effects only apply to characters below Level 290.

Artifact Restoration & Enhancement

1. Artifact Restoration
  • The Artifact Restoration gauge increases by 25% each time you defeat Tama and obtain a Cursed Crystal.
  • For every 25% of restoration progress accumulated, click the Artifact Restoration button to increase the Artifact's level by 1, up to Level 4.

2. Artifact Enhancement
  • Once the Artifact reaches Level 4, spend 1,500 Archipelago of Wings Coins to enhance it.
  • Enhancing the Artifact doubles its effects for 1 week.

Archipelago of Wings Access
  • The Malaysia region has been revamped with the introduction of the new Archipelago of Wings content.
  • To access the Archipelago of Wings, enter the Anomaly Investigation Headquarters and speak to NPC Terry.
Removed Features
  • Daily quests and field features in Muddy Banks and Theme Park.
  • Danger Zone Taxis in the Singapore–Malaysia region.
  • Water Coaster rewards.
  • The portal to Singapore in Muddy Banks and Theme Park.
  • Golden Eagle Statue drops from monsters.
  • Quest completion EXP and rewards.
  • Monster EXP rewards.
  • The Malaysia region option from the Maple World Map drop-down list.
  • For more information, please refer to the Victoria Cup Patch Notes (v241) for previous changes to the Malaysia region.
Reward Changes
  • Monsters will only drop quest items.
  • Quest items are untradeable and can be sold to shops for 1 Meso.

  • The existing Malaysia region remains accessible through the portal in Kawi Village.
  • The portal in Kawi Village will take you to the Trend Zone Metropolis area.
