Dear Maplers,

The Star Force update has arrived!

As you traverse around looking for places to level up, you may encounter in your travels areas known as Star Force Maps — specialized areas where more challenging monsters can be found.

Star Force Maps

image

The monsters found in these areas are alot tougher than their non-star enhanced counterparts. The task of defeating them can be monumental if you come unprepared. Player who enter these special maps will require a certain amount of Star Force before they are able to successfully defeat the monsters found within. However, not to worry, preparing to take on these monsters can be easy with the new Star Force Enhancement System!

Note: The amount of Star Force you gain when equipped with an overall is doubled. (e.g If your overall is enhanced to 12-stars, your Star Force count is 24)

Star Force Enhancement System

With the Spell Trace system in place, the equipment upgrade window has been further updated to include in the Star Force Enhancement System.

• What is the Star Force Enhancement System?

The Star Force Enhancement System has been introduced to help Maplers manage better with their equipment enhancements. While Equipment Enhancement Scrolls may still be available in-game, players are encouraged to utilize the new Star Force system to enhance their equipment.

image

• “Scroll”
The first level of equipment upgrading is via the Spell Trace system. Spell Traces can be obtained either via hunting from monsters or purchasing them from NPC Nadia in towns. The amount of Spell Traces required to use an upgrade scroll varies with the item level and type.

• “Star Force Enhancement”
Upon completion of upgrading via the Spell Trace system, players will proceed on the next tier of upgrading – the Star Force Enhancement. The prices and passing rates differ according to the equipment level and type.

• “Equipment Transfer”
On the unlucky occasion that you ended up destroying your equipment while using the Star Force Enhancement, an Equipment Trace will be replaced instead. Equipment Traces will store the equipment’s fully upgraded stats prior to the enhancement. Simply reapply the trace onto a fresh new equipment, and you’re all set to go with another round of Star Force Enhancements!

• Star Force Enhancement FAQs

Q: While using the Star Force Enhancement I encountered a “Chance Time”. What is it?
A: If you consecutively failed twice while using the Star Force Enhancement, if the equipment is not destroyed, you will trigger “Chance Time”. Basically this gives you a free 1-star upgrade on your next enhancement attempt.

Q: I recently destroyed my equipment and obtained an Equipment Trace. The equipment was originally a Season-2 item (white dot). My spare equipment is a Season-1 item (white outline circle). Will my Equipment Trace work?
A: Yes it will work. Take note that while the stats are retained from the Season-2 item, the spare equipment receiving the traced stats will remain a Season-1 item.

Q: Can I use a Lucky Day Scroll/Protection Scroll to help my chances for the Star Force Enhancement?
A: Please take note that scroll booster effects will not affect the rates for the Star Force Enhancement.

Q: I got my equipment up to 16th-star. I do not wish to continue using the Star Force Enhancement for fear of having to destroy the equipment. Can I continue using High Quality Equip Enhancement Scrolls instead?.
A: Please be informed that Equipment Enhancement Scrolls are only available for enhancements up to the 15th-star.

Content Updates

• Character Level-Up

SP Distribution

A majority of classes have had their SP distribution revised. Classes will now be able to max out their 4th job skills by level 140. SP after 4th job will be gained at the following rates:

» Basic SP gained from level 100-110 = 3
» Basic SP gained from level 111-120 = 4
» Basic SP gained from level 121-130 = 5
» Basic SP gained from level 131-140 = 6
» SP gained at levels ending with either 3,6,9 or 0 = 2 x Basic SP according to level range

Notes:
- For example, at level 113, a player will gain 2 × 4 = 8 SP. At level 139, the same player will gain 2 × 6 = 12 SP.
- Due to the nature of advancement for Zero and Evan classes, these two classes will not be applicable to the changes above.

Known Issues

- With the new skills changes applied for the Kaiser, the class is currently set to the command skill system, similar to that of KMS. The class can still be played with all its skills updated and working as intended, however the combo/command system for the gauge may not be working as it should be.
- Hayato’s SP distribution may result in not being able to max all skills in 4th job by level 140.
- Bowmasters who find that their Hurricane skills are not shooting arrows, are advised to ensure that you have a set of arrows in your Use inventory slot.
- There is an issue encountered in Normal/Hard Magnus and Azwan Hell Mode contents where players will remain stuck in game under certain circumstances
