v165 Client Issues FAQs

Dear Maplers,

We're aware of the issues encountered after the recent Game Client Patch on 2nd March 2017. Here are some FAQs that you may wish to refer to, if you are having issues in accessing the game.

    Issue: I will auto disconnect from the game service after 2 to 3 minutes of logging in into the game. What should I do?

    Solution: If you are experiencing auto disconnection after 2 to 3 minutes of logging into the game, please ensure that you have performed the following steps:
    • Check and make sure that you have downloaded the updated MapleStory.exe file here.
    • Drag and replace it over the current "MapleStory.exe" in your MapleStory game folder (default path: 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Wizet\MapleStory' or 'C:\Program Files (x64)\Wizet\MapleStory').
    • If you are running your game via a shortcut on your desktop, please remove the shortcut
    • Add a new shortcut by right-clicking on your recently replaced "MapleStory.exe" file and select the option to create a new Desktop shortcut
    • Try to run the game with the new "MapleStory.exe" file

    However, should the above solution does not seem to work for you, please try re-downloading the full game client here and do a fresh installation again.

    Issue: I've downloaded my game client from the Playpark Downloader. However, there's an error that pops up with regards to the MD5 Checksum issue once the download has completed.

    Solution: Please try to re-download the file again. There was a reported error with the MD5 checksum previously and has been resolved, as of 6th March 2017 today. You should be able to patch and download your client normally.

    Issue: My Maple ID keeps showing that it has been logged in after the recent Server Check. How do I resolve that?

    Solution: If your Maple ID is still showing you as logged in, kindly help us fill up this Google Docs form ( While we are aware of the current issue, the developers are seeking your assistance with providing as much details in accuracy as possible, so as to be able to better investigate the problem and rectify it as soon as possible.
