Discontinuance of SHA-1 Code Signing Support for Windows 7

Dear Players,

Please be informed that the MapleStorySEA game client will no longer support SHA-1 code signing and verification with effect from 2nd February 2020. With this, all users on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 may encounter major issues when logging into the game or while playing the game.

Windows 7 users may attempt to install a security update from Microsoft to enable SHA-2 code signing support. Users of earlier Windows versions may need to upgrade to the later versions that support SHA-2 code sign certification.

We will no longer be able to provide support for any issues that users may face if they are playing on the earlier versions or builds of Windows 7. Once again, please be reminded to update your operating system before the support cessation of the mentioned Windows versions by 2nd February 2020.

We would also like to stress the importance of constantly keeping your operating systems updated with security patches released periodically by Microsoft to ensure the smoothest possible computer usage experience and to keep your computer and yourself safe from any form of cyber attacks or malicious software.
