Recent Server Crashing Issue for Aquila and Bootes

Dear Maplers,

First of all, on behalf of Asiasoft Online Pte Ltd, I would like to apologize for the recent issues that has plagued MapleSEA server, which has caused major dissatisfaction amongst our loyal players.

It is without a doubt that we owe you all an explanation on the issues faced by players since 18 December 2013. As such, I would like to share with you the issues that happened and the actions taken to resolve the issues

Issue: Random server restarts resulting in data loss.
Date of Occurrence: 18 till 23 December 2013.
Cause of Issue: Anti-Virus had been automatically updated and the new version caused instability in the server resulting in random restarts.
Date of Resolution: 23 Dec 2013
Resolution: Previous version of Anti-Virus has been reloaded.
Steps Taken to Prevent Re-occurrence: The Anti-Virus automatic update has been disable and subsequently new versions will be tested before deployment.

Issue: Login issues
Date of Occurrence: 23 December 2013 till now
Cause of Issue: We’re currently still monitoring this issue and working to determine the cause and solution.

We hope players understand that our team is currently working their best to resolve the current issue. At the same time, we are working to develop better measures to reduce the possible occurrence of such issues again.

We’d also like to re-assure players that a reimbursement plan is being worked out and we are looking to share the plan with you within one week. Again, thanks for your kind patience and understanding.
