Developer Notes

The Abyssal Expedition returns with a brand-new destination, the Nihal Desert. Venture into the mysterious rifts that have engulfed the desert and face reimagined monsters and powerful bosses unlike any you've encountered before.

Recruit and strengthen newly added mercenaries to aid you in battle. You can also purchase additional Promotion Points to unlock higher-level hunting grounds more quickly and accelerate your expedition's progress.

Defeat the final boss to uncover what lies beyond, including hidden hunting fields and even greater rewards waiting to be claimed.

Available to Level 200+, Zero character who has completed Chapter 2 for Story Quest

To start of your expedition, click Join to participate in the Maple Expedition from the Event List.
Complete the setup quest by talking to Pascal or using the Event List at Abyssal Expedition HQ to unlock your starting mercenaries.
Double click on the available mercenaries from the Mercenary List on the Manage Expedition UI to add them to your team.

Achieve the playtime daily and receive Expedition Supplies.
As you increase your Command Rank, you will unlock more slots for mercenaries and better Expedition Supplies

Once your mercenaries are set, use the portal at the left side of the map to start your journey!

Depending on the level of the map, you can either enter the left white portal for grinding exp or the orange portal in the map for boss.
As your mercenaries get stronger, you unlock maps with stronger monsters and bosses.

Let the mercenaries do the job for you as they will attack the monsters automatically.
Obtain EXP when monsters has been defeated.
You can only stay on the map for a set duration.
As you get stronger, you unlock more maps and stay on the map longer up to 8 hours daily.

Rank Up Points

Missed daily claims can be recovered based on the number of days that have passed in the event.

Make-up points fills missed rewards starting from the earliest unclaimed day.

1 Make-up Point will use 3,000 Maple Points.

After reaching Grand Master, recovered rewards will only grant Exploration Supply Boxes. Rank Up Points will no longer be awarded.

Additional Rank Up Points Purchase

Additional Rank Up Points can only be purchased after all available Rank Up Point recoveries have been used.

Up to 5 additional Rank Up Points can be purchased each week, with unused purchase opportunities carrying over, up to a maximum of 14 purchases throughout the event.

The purchase limit increases as the event progresses:
↪Week 1: Up to 5 purchases
↪Week 2: Up to 10 purchases
↪Week 3 onward: Up to 14 purchases

1 Additional Rank Up Point will use 9,900 Maple Points.

A maximum of 14 additional Rank Up Point purchases can be made per character.

If you participate normally every week without purchasing Rank Up points, you can be promoted to Veteran starting from Week 3 and to Master starting from Week 4.

If you purchase the maximum amount of additional Rank Up points, you can be promoted to Senior in the first week, Master in the second week, and Grand Master in the third week.

Additional Rank Up Points can only be purchased up to the amount required to reach Grand Master.

Mercenary Note

↪ When you talk to NPC Norman, mercenaries matching the current Command rank will appear randomly, and you can choose to recruit one of them.
↪ The potential team members are selected randomly based on the members you can recruit with your current command rank.
↪ If it becomes the next day and you have not recruited anyone, when you talk to NPC Norman new recruit targets will be randomly selected.
↪ You can recruit a max of 10 members
↪ Only mercenaries matching your command rank will appear
↪ Number of available mercenaries depends on rank (random daily pool)

Master Rank Reward

After defeating the final boss, Abyss Sand Giant in Area 5 and achieve Master Rank, you can choose to obtain either

Abyssal Expedition Nihal Desert Union Block

Ancient Tablet Replica.

You may equip up to maximum of 2 Union Blocks earned from the event.

The Ancient Tablet Replica totem can be enhanced using Lavastone Resurrection Flame.

Lavastone Resurrection Flame can be obtained from the Maple Expedition Resurrection Flame Selection Coupon that can be purchased in the Abyss Mercroid Android Shop.

Special Notes

Changing Characters

Your Abyssal Expedition progress will be completely reset.

Your Command Rank, Fame Points, Expedition Skills, Expedition Equipment, hired Expedition Members, and quest progress will all be deleted.
Your newly assigned character will become the new Expedition Captain, and you will need to start the event again from the tutorial.
Rewards you have already claimed will not be reset.
Any unclaimed rewards from previously reached Command Ranks will become unavailable. You will need to reach those Command Ranks again before you can claim them.

You can only reset once per day.

Medals and Expedition Rewards can only be claimed once per World.

These rewards are one-time only and will not become available again after resetting.

Items purchased from the Expedition Shop will be removed when you reset. The following items will be deleted:

Dodi Meso Store items
Expedition Supply Boxes
Expedition Equipment Boxes
Expedition Skill Boxes
Expedition Member Absolabs Weapon Box (if it has not been used)

Your purchase history in the Dodi Meso Store will not be reset.

If you purchased an Expedition Member Absolabs Weapon Box but did not use it before resetting, the box will be deleted and cannot be purchased again.
If you used the Expedition Member Absolabs Weapon Box before resetting, the corresponding item will be returned to you after the reset.

World Leap

If you play the Abyss Expedition in the Challengeres World and then restart with that character after performing a World Leap, the reset will be performed one more time.
Your Abyssal Expedition progress will be completely reset. Your Command Rank, Fame Points, Expedition Skills, Expedition Equipment, hired Expedition Members, and quest progress will all be deleted.
Rewards you have already claimed will not be reset.
