[Notice] Game System Error Findings & Upcoming Adjustments

Dear Maplers,
During a comprehensive investigation of our game systems, issues were identified in item drop rates and certain system logic. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and will provide the fixes with the next patch and compensation with next week’s maintenance.
1. Item Drop Rate Logic Error
We have confirmed that item drop rates were set higher than intended in certain cases, as follows:
a) Items with a drop rate of 29.5% or below were appearing approximately 16.4% more frequently than intended. (Example: An item with a 1% drop rate was effectively appearing at around 1.16%.)
b) The Item Drop Rate Increase option was being applied at values higher than its stated amounts. (Example, based on an item with a 5% drop rate)
• 0% ~ 16% : approximately 16.4% applied
• 17% : approximately 26.4% applied
• 18% ~ 39% : approximately 39.7% applied
As item drop rates have been consistently higher than intended, we will, alongside the fix, introduce a new “Base Item Drop Rate Increase” option with a flat 24% value to help maintain a similar gameplay experience going forward. This will be a dedicated option applied independently of the drop rate maximum cap. The timing of its in-game implementation will be announced once confirmed.
2. Premium Service Coupon Drop Rate Application Error
When defeating a boss in a party after using a Premium Service Coupon, drop rate effects were being applied based on the character who delivered the final hit, rather than the intended conditions.
This will be adjusted so that the Premium Service Coupon’s drop rate increase effect is applied based on the character who dealt the highest damage in boss encounters.
3. Potential Option Activation Rates
We have identified that certain potential options were triggered at slightly higher or lower rates than intended. These will be corrected to activate at their proper rates.
① Options triggering at a slightly higher rate than intended:
• Chance to ignore damage when hit
• Chance to apply a status effect when hit
• Chance to apply a status effect when attacking
• Chance to feel an emotion (Angry, Happy, Love, Furious, Moved)
② Options triggering at a slightly lower rate than intended:
• Chance to reflect a certain % of damage received
③ Bug fixes:
• Chance to recover HP/MP
• Chance to activate invincibility for a set duration
4. Potential Reset (Cube) Issue
We identified an issue where resetting potential could result in the same exact potential as before, which was not intended. This will be corrected, and Cubes used in affected cases will be reimbursed accordingly*.
* Applies only when the immediate reroll resulted in identical potential options as the previous result.
5. Critical Rate Error
We have identified two inconsistencies related to Critical Rate. Critical Rate was applied up to 0.117% higher than displayed across all ranges, and it was activated as 99.99999% even when set to 100%.
These issues will be corrected so that Critical Rate functions according to the displayed values.
6. Compensation
As part of our apology for the inconvenience caused, compensation will be provided for all players. Details regarding the compensation and distribution timing will be announced separately.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We will continue working to ensure greater accuracy and consistency across all systems moving forward.
Thank you for your continued support.
